Live Like A Local Tours brings you out of downtown Boston and into the city's neighborhoods where you'll be exposed to foods from different cultures. Guests will drink craft beer from small neighborhood microbreweries and get a spirit tasting from a local distillery.

Are the tours all-inclusive?


All tours are all-inclusive and you do not have to pay for anything else unless you want to support a local establishment.




Difference between the Grub and Snack Like A Local Tours?


The Snack Tour: will provide two neighborhood breweries and two neighborhood snacks like Jamaican beef or veggie patties and Beef or veggie empanadas. It also includes some history of those neighborhoods as well. (Minimum of 10 people)
The Grub Group Tour: Will provide two local breweries and a local distillery with a local restaurant to have dinner. (Minimum of 10 People)




What's the difference between the neighborhood walking tours?


The Nubian Square Tour: Explore the history of Roxbury's Nubian square and grab a bite to eat from a local food establishment. The Roxbury Food & Liquor Tour: Explore Roxbury's History, a bite from a local food establishment and a cocktail from a local distillery. The JP Foo d & Brew Tour: Explore Jamaica Plains Brewery history and grab a bite from Boston's Latin Quarter, and a beer from a local brewery. Dorchester Food & Brew Tour: Explore Dorchester Upham's Corner,get a beer and grab a bite from a local restaurant.




How long are these tours?


For Chartered Tours: Snack Tour 3.5 to 4 hours Grub Tour 4.5 to 5 hours We will be boarding the charters a half an hour after the start time. What time do the tours begin?


Charted Tours upon request only. Private tours are available for families or friends who've been qurantining together. (10 person min) Nubian Square Tour: Friday at Noon Saturday at 10am Roxbury Food & Liquor Tour (Fri-Sat ) at 4pm Dorchester Food & Brew Tour Saturday at 12:30pm Jp Food & Brew Tour Sunday at 1:15pm For chartered tours, we will be boarding the charters a half an hour after the start time. Where do we meet for the walking tours?


Roxbury Tours Meet at 450 Melnea Cass Boulevard on the corner of Washington st near the Tropical Foods Parking Lot. Please Do Not Park in the Tropical Foods Parking Lot your car will be towed at your own expense. Dorchester Food & Brew Tour 1250 Massachusetts Avenue JP Food & Liquor Tour 1400 Tremont st ( Roxbury Crossing T stop)




Is there parking available near the meeting spot?


For the Roxbury Walking Tours: there is two-hour parking on Washington St but taking an Uber or Public transportation is highly recommended. For the JP Food & Brew Tour we would highly recommend taking public transportation as parking can sometimes be difficult in this area For the Dorchester Food & Brew Tour and chartered group tours: You can park in the Dorchester Brewery Parking spaces closest to the brewery if available. Otherwise there is plenty of parking along Massachusetts Avenue.
