Martha’s Vineyard

Black Biz Day Tour

September 9th, 2023

4 Organizations One Mission

After the success of our first tour in May, we are thrilled to announce that the MV Black Biz Day Tour is back!

Live Like a Local, BECMA, and Ujima are again coming together to support the black businesses of Martha's Vineyard with the assistance of the MV Black Business Directory. In collaboration with MV Black Business Directory, Live Like A Local Tours Boston has curated an inclusive tour of Martha’s Vineyard sponsored by BECMA and Boston Ujima Project! BECMA and Ujima Members are invited to eat, drink, shop, and support Black-owned businesses at this inclusive event in Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven, and across the Island.

Join us on September 9th!

While many people come to Martha's Vineyard to eat, drink, and shop in Oak Bluffs, it's essential to acknowledge that numerous businesses across the island don't always receive the recognition and support they deserve. Thanks to India Rose's efforts in creating the MV Black Business Directory, visitors can easily locate these businesses and provide them with the support they deserve. To assist in uplifting these businesses, we've curated a tour specifically for BECMA and Ujima members to escape the city's hustle and immerse themselves in the island life while supporting black business owners!

"The event had everyone raving, although most hadn't attended before. Despite some adjustments due to the weather, nothing would've changed the fantastic experience. Meeting great people and enjoying the shop & sip/heritage tour was a wonderful idea.”
